The decision to become a counselor was an easy one for me. I am drawn to advocating for emotional and behavioral health and human equality. I am a proponent of individuals living life to their potential. For that to happen, I believe that everyone needs to feel safe and heard; everyone is entitled to tell their stories and be able to reclaim their power to rewrite their narratives. It’s an honor to connect with people, to be trusted by them, and to watch them heal and grow. Life can be challenging, and being a counselor is my way of bringing more love and light into this world. We are all in this together and we all have the capacity to heal and grow.
